Supplier Qualification Requirements
Only contractors who have been awarded work by Devon go through a process to certify their qualification. Once awarded work, contractors must meet Devon's agreement requirements, insurance requirements, and environmental health & safety requirements. Additional information regarding these requirements is listed below.
Agreement Requirements
If you are selected as a contractor to supply goods and/or services for Devon, you may be required to sign an agreement which will be issued upon receipt of a request for contractor setup from a Devon Business Sponsor. You may also be required to execute additional agreements as required by Devon.
Please note that Devon does not pre-qualify contractors. Your company must be awarded work by Devon in order to be an approved contractor.
Before beginning work, Contractors are responsible for reviewing all of the below documents, including those referenced in Devon’s agreements, and reviewing them during the performance of any work. Devon may change the documents listed below from time to time without notice.
Insurance Requirements
If you are selected as a Devon contractor, you may be required to provide insurance verification. The requirements listed below are Devon's minimum requirements.
Certificate holder name must include all Devon entities that are listed on the agreement.
Insurance policies must be placed with insurance companies that have an AM Best Rating A- or higher.
Please note that Devon does not pre-qualify contractors. Your company must be awarded work by Devon in order to be set up as a Devon contractor.
- General Liability minimum of $1 million; however, this could range from $1 million to $10 million depending on type of service provided.
- Auto Liability minimum of $1 million
- Workers Compensation minimum of $1 million
- Additional Insured
- Waiver of Subrogation
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Requirements
No job is so important and no task is so urgent that the necessary steps cannot be taken to perform it safely. The safety and health of our employees, contractors and the public are at the core of Devon's management philosophy.
Everyone on a Devon location, including contractor personnel, have the authority and responsibility to stop unsafe work, regardless of job description, industry experience or time spent on the location.
If you are selected as a Devon contractor, and provide goods or services to our field operations, you will be required to subscribe to Veriforce.
Please note that Devon does not pre-qualify contractors. Your company must be awarded work by Devon in order to be set up as a Devon contractor. Subscribing to Veriforce will NOT guarantee that your company is added to Devon's supplier list.
Devon contractors are responsible for having programs that meet or exceed all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Some agreements also require that a contractor meets or exceeds Devon’s standards, which are provided below for reference.
