G.I. Jobs Honor
For the sixth straight year, G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazine named Devon to its top military-friendly employers list. The list includes companies with more than $1 billion in revenue that exhibit leading practices for military recruitment and retention. More than 6,000 companies applied. Criteria includes the strength of company military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention efforts and company policies toward National Guard and Reserve service.
The company received praise for its generous military leave of absence policy and its outreach and professional development opportunities for employees with military backgrounds.
Military Spouse Employment Partnership
The Spouse Ambassador Network was developed for military spouses by military spouses. Devon is a partner in this initiative, which strives to connect military spouses with employment opportunities. Participating companies pledge to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses in portable careers. This partnership helps military spouses find employment, build on their education and experience and achieve their career and personal goals.
The network is made up of Military Spouse Employment Partnership organizations seeking to increase career opportunities that facilitate the mobile military life. As a part of this partnership, Devon actively recruits military spouses for employment.
