Executive Vice President, E&P - Anadarko, Eagle Ford, Marcellus & Rockies

Michael DeShazer was appointed executive vice president, E&P – Anadarko, Eagle Ford, Marcellus and Rockies in May 2026 following Devon’s merger with Coterra Energy. For those operating areas, DeShazer is responsible for facilities engineering, field operations, geosciences, land, midstream operations and infrastructure, production engineering, regulatory and reservoir engineering. He most recently served as executive vice president, operations for Coterra Energy. DeShazer joined Cimarex in 2007, serving in various leadership positions at Cimarex and Coterra Energy, including vice president, Permian Basin and executive vice president, business units. DeShazer is a licensed professional engineer and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in energy business from the University of Tulsa.
