Devon Canada Corporation has plans to submit a regulatory application to develop Pike 2, an in situ oil sands project proposed in the Southern Athabasca Oil Sands region of Alberta. Devon and BP Canada Energy Group ULC each hold a 50% working interest in the Pike lands, located about 25 km southeast of Conklin. Pike 2 is expected to produce up to 70,000 barrels per day of bitumen. Once approved, the project will be constructed over a two-year time period. Devon will construct and operate the facility.
