Devon's Science Giants grant program is designed to help educators provide strategic, inventive and hands-on science instruction to spark students’ interest in the subject. Devon will present one $25,000 award to an Oklahoma County Public School (or charter) to support a strategic and creative vision for school-wide academic progress in science.

  • Maximum amount of award is $25,000 
  • All Oklahoma County Public Schools (pre-K through 12th grade), including charter schools, can apply
  • Only one application per school will be considered
  • Principal must approve entry
  • Recipients will be asked to complete the project within one year and provide a written project summary with samples of class work, photographs and success stories.
    • Application window will be open from Monday, Aug. 29 until Friday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. 
    • Applications are evaluated on idea originality, demonstrated vision to improve achievements in science and benefit to future students.
    • Special attention is given to projects that engage the entire student body and focus on geology, engineering or earth science.
    • Applications should be thorough and include an appropriate and resourceful project budget.
    • Devon Energy will select winners from all eligible entries. Judges’ decisions are final.
