Devon's Canadian operations are located in the Athabasca oil sands of northeast Alberta. Our production has been successful through an extraction process called steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD). New drilling technologies have enhanced our production, prompting us to look for professionals to help with our operations. Take a look at the positions we have available.
Camp Life at Jackfish and Pike
Employee shifts in the field can vary depending on the job and location — many people work seven days on, seven days off. Others are four and three and still other positions require a five-day workweek with travel up to site.
But we don't want you to put your life on hold when you come to work, so we've built the Jackfish Lodge — one of the best employee facilities in the oil sands industry.
The 62,000-square-foot Jackfish Lodge can accommodate 880 people, each with their own room and bathroom. Wireless Internet is also available throughout the complex to accentuate your stay.
Whether your thing is ball hockey, squash, basketball or lifting weights, the athletic facilities are second to none. The onsite gym has two squash courts, two hockey rinks, a running track and a baseball diamond. Plus, if you'd just like to sit back and relax after a long day, there's also a theatre with tiered seating.
The company menu has something for everyone 24/7: hot entrees including beef, pork, chicken and seafood, soups and sandwiches, gourmet salads, tasty desserts, refreshments and a popcorn machine.
