    LOOK FOR

    Fire or explosion near pipeline

    A white cloud or fog

    Dead or discolored vegetation in an otherwise green area

    Unusual blowing of dirt or dust

    Pools of liquids, possibly bubbling

    Persistent bubbles in water

     

    LISTEN FOR

    Blowing or hissing sound

     

    SMELL FOR

    A gaseous, hydrocarbon or unusual ordor, sometimes like rotten eggs
